Robert Jenkins, in addition to being an Attorney, is a veritable textbook on the Civil War battles. His September presentation was about the battles surrounding Atlanta and how in a very short order the Southern soldiers went from a victory to a significant loss.

Mrs Mundy gave a presentation of the Brown’s Island explosion – the story of a Confederate munitions facility on a small island in Richmond Virginia harbor, near the ancient Tredegar Iron Works. As the men were off to war, women and children staffed the facility when an explosion killed many.

Cassie spoke at length about the Nash Farm Battlefield efforts. However this portion of her presentation dealt primarily with the work and status of Markers and Statues. Cassie is a member of The Georgia Civil War Commission.
